(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. September 2 The Auckland player, W. Cullen, beat last year’s runner up. L. Glozler (Southland), in a five-frame match during to day’s play in the national snooker championships In Wei* lington. The national billiards champion, L. Napper (Otago): outplayed the highly-rated Wei lington player, R. Pegg, in three flames. Results were: K. Tristram (Auckland) beat S. Moflil (North Otago), 34. W Cullen (Auckland) beat L Glozler (Southland). 3-2: I. Napper (Otago) beat J. Ahern (Auckland), 3-0.
Quarter-finals.—T. Vesberc (Canterbury) beat B Bennett (Taranaki), 3-2: Napper beat R Pegg (Wellington), 3-0.
