NEW ZEALAND BAND IN CANADA.—The Prime Minister of Canada, Mr Lester Pearson, officially opening the eighty-seventh Canadian National Exhibition at Toronto. In the background is the National Band of New Zealand, appearing as premier band at the exhibition, which attracts 3,000,000 people annually. During the ceremony the band played “O Canada” as Mr Pearson raised the new Canadian national flag—the first time it had been hoisted at the exhibition.
