SUSPICIONS UNDERSTOOD
Intrigue Of N. Vietnam (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) CANBERRA, September 2. The Minister for External Affairs, Mr Paul Hasluck. said today he could understand the exceedingly suspicious attitude of the South Vietnamese Government on the peace negotiations. The North Vietnamese had a past record of intrigue, subversion and infiltration against South Vietnam, he said.
Mr Hasluck was replying in the House of Representatives to an Opposition member, Dr. J. F. Cairns, who quoted a report that the Prime Minister of South Vietnam, Air Marshal Ky, was not yet ready for peace negotiations.
