Archbishop P. T. B. McKeefry, the Roman Catholic Metropolitan of New Zealand, left Wellington Airport yesterday on the first stage of his journey to Rome where he will attend the final session of the Ecumenical Council, opening on September 14.—(P. A.) Mr B. C. Arnold, reader in botany, has been awarded an Erskine fellowship by the University of Canterbury for study next year in Australia. England, Canada, and Hawaii. He will examine teaching developments and electronmicroscopy of plant cells with growth disturbances caused by mites an< fungi. 'Mr L. Anderson has been appointed South Island district sales representative for the Australian airline, AnsettANA.
