20 Tigers To Tour
’THE “Old Maroon Tigers,” a team composed mainly of members of the University social (third grade) Rugby team, will leave on Monday for a fortnight’s tour of Australia. The team, which consists of 20 playing members and three administrators, will play four matches: the Box Hill Club of Melbourne, a University of Australia side at Canberra, and two games in Sydney, the University of New South Wales and Sydney University.
The two latter matches have been arranged by Dr. R. M. Tooth, the former Australian captain who was manager of the Australian Universities side which toured New Zealand last season. Dr. Tooth has also arranged for the touring party to be the guests of the New South Wales Rugby Union at the Sydney Grade final on September 11 and at the end-of-season function afterwards.
