168 Clubs Sell Drink Illegally

WELLINGTON, August 11

Three hundred and seventy-four clubs of the New Zealand Bowling Association favour sports club charters, according to questionnaires sent out by the association to its 623 groups.

Results of the questionnaires accompanied the submissions made today by the association on the Sale of Liquor Amendment Bill. From the replies, the association found 264 clubs had liquor on the premises and 130 did not.
