TOWN MILK PAY-OUT
Increase Of ,6d A Gallon (From Our Own Reporter) . WELLINGTON, August 11. An increase in the town milk price for the 1964-65 season of .6d a gallon, in line with the end-of-season payment made to cheese factory suppliers, was announced by the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Taiboys) at the Tow Milk Producers’ Federation general meeting in Wellington today.
With the increase of .6d a gallon announced earlier in the season, he said that this would make the price to producer associations 31.14 d a gallon for finest grade milk. The price for the new season would be 29.94 d a gallon for finest grade with the usual quality differentials. This was the priee fixed for the beginning of the 1964-65 season.
