Courts For Squash
Permission was given to the Wilding Park Squash Promotion Committee to arrange plans and a mortgage for the projected courts, by the annual meeting of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association last evening.
“We have 208 members and £5500,” said Mr B. Crofts, the association’s secretary. “If we cannot clear up this matter tonight we can forget it I move that we go ahead now as outlined in our instructions from the last meeting of delegates.” “We should give approval now without getting the £6OOO required,” said Mr M. C. Healey. This was carried unanimously by the meeting. Greatest Increase. An award of 10 guineas was made by Mr G. Atkinson to the St. Ninians Club. The award was made to the club which gained the greatest percentage increase of senior members, and St. Ninians had a 77 per cent increase.

Forrester, Messrs A. C. Lee, D. Ferguson, D McDonald, A. D. Atkinson, W. Franklin, R. Quinn and F. Johnston: auditors, Messrs Burtt, McGillivray, and Mann; honorary solicitor. Mr W. Cunningham.
