SHED RAZED AT SUMNER
Spectacular Blaze Fire destroyed a large shed and its contents, including bales of hay and two children's bicycles, in Sumner last evening. The shed was owned by Mr |R. Short and was on property lat 31 Menzies street. The fire was first seen by one of Mr j Short's sons, and the fire briIgade was telephoned at 8.43 P-m. The wooden, 36ft by 12ft shed, with tarred roof, was blazing from end to end when Sumner and Woolston firemen arrived. The firemen prevented the flames spreading to Mr Short’s house on an adjoining section. The fire could be seen several miles away at its height
