CONSIDERING PAY OFFER
Transport Men In N.S.W. (N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) SYDNEY, Aug. 11. Officials of 25 Government [transport unions today were [ considering a new wage offer from the New South Wales I Government. If it is rejected more transport stoppages in Sydney and other parts of the state are expected. After a state-wide stoppage on July 9 a strike ban clause was inserted in the awards. Another such strike would expose the unions to the risk of heavy penalties. The first reaction of the unions to the new offer has been cool. The Australian Railways Union has already described it as inadequate.
