Sir, —The injustices concerning emergency benefits and special assistance are due to Government policy which the Government has refused to change in spite of pleas by Opposition members and a written submission by an independent witness to the social services select committee in 1964. “Anti-Humbug" has not yet proved that the Government Statistician is wrong, in ‘hat living costs have soared since the 1960 General Election.
