Mr W. E. B. Tucker has been re-elected president of the Public Service Association. Mr W. C. A. Brown and Mr M. G. Muir have been elected executive presidents. —(P.A.) Mr R. F. D. Ritchie has been appointed chief power engineer for the Ministry of Works.—(P.A.)
Mr E. W. T. Tindall, of Wellington, one of only five double All Blacks—he represented New Zealand at cricket and Rugby—will retire from the Audit Depart ment tomorrow. He was an A 1! Black in 1935 and 1938 and played cricket for New Zealand from 1937 to 1947. He is still a first-class cricket umpire and as an internaion Rugby referee has controlled three test matches, two in 1950 and one in 1955.
