By RIBOT, unbeaten Italian champion and a leading English sire Ribot is world famous, his stock are showing outstanding success in America, England, Italy, France, etc. Ribot has left a World International Champion for five season's running. A TREMENDOUS PEDIGREE Ribotlight has a pedigree that breeders in this part of the world dream about, but seldom able to procure. Ribotlight started once as a two-year-old, with a promising run in the Newmarket Rous Memorial Stakes, 6 furs. At three years he raced seven times. At his first start he ran fourth to Romulus (by Ribot) in the Newbury Green ham Stakes, £2,661 i, 7 furs. His first win was scored in the Doncaster Wakefield Stakes Um. 56 yds. in which he led throughout with 3 lengths to spare at the winning post. He repeated this performance in the Newcastle Dove Plate, Im., again winning by 3 lengths. At his next and final, start, he led for over Um. in the Kempton Park Tangiers Stakes, 1m 3 furs., but was caught short of the post, finishing third. MILLION DOLLAR LEASE Ribot was secured for the United States in one of the most spectacular bloodstock deals in history a five year lease for 1,350,000 dollars. Ribotlight's dam, Honeylight, won the One Thousand Guineas, the Free Handicap Stakes at Newmarket, three other races, and £14,889.
