Salary within range £2405 up to £2710. Salary and maximum at any point up to £2710 dependent on qualications and experience. Qualifications desired: An appropriate professional qualification. Applicants must possess a sound appreciation of the wool industry and have proven leadership qualities and sound organising ability. Duties: A wooL division has been established in the department. The successful applicant will be required to organise and direct the new division which is responsible for providing advice in such matters as flock management to improve wool quality and production; classing and wool handling in the shed and the management of the instruction courses, lectures and demonstrations: maintenance of close association with brokers and wool stores; conduct of trials for improvement of methods and handling processes from the farm to the sales floor and surveys as a guide to advisory and instruction work.
