Mr Patrick Gordon Walker, the former British Foreign Secretary, suggested today that the West should offer to recognise North Vietnam if China and Russia would recognise South Vietnam. Mr Gordon Walker called in a speech made in Worthing, Southern England, for China’s admission to the United Nations and acceptance of a Viet Cong delegation at Vietnam peace talks.
