BUS ON FIRE
Petrol Ignites In Garage (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Aug. 6. A burning bus was towed from Bluff Motors’ garage this afternoon after welding operations caused petrol to ignite. No-one was hurt in the explosion, but the roof of the garage was burnt. The bus, one of five owned by the firm, was gutted and windows on the petrol tank side blown out. A Bluff Borough Council truck in the garage was badly’ burned, and a newly-painted bus had its roof damaged. Damaged had not been assessed tonight.
