HAREWOOD GOLF

A capacity field of 100 players will take part tn the Harewood Golf Club’s third annual open tournament tomorrow. Notwithstanding the severity of the winter, the course is in good order and the greens are excellent.

Competitors in this popular 36-hole event include the two previous winners, R. E. Clements (1963) and D. R. Hope (1964), who took the first two places in the Windsor club’s open tourney last week-end. They will be challenged by many well-per-formed golfers, including E. H. M. Richards, B. A. Colquhoun, I. D. Dobson, M. R. Blank, A. T. Baxendine, J. R. Broadhurst and Hope’s fellow Harewood players, J. F. Logie, J. A. Orr and P. J. Amos.

Hope’s official course record of 71 has stood for more than two years; anyone setting a new mark will receive a special trophy. There will be trophies, too, for the best gross score returned by players under 21 and under 17.
