Manslaughter Verdict
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, August 5. A verdict of not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter was returned by a jury today after the trial of Wylie Taylor, aged 21, a shearer, on a charge of murder. Taylor had been charged with the murder of John Isaac, at the shearer’s quarters, at Turihaua station on June 19. The jury took two hours to reach its verdict. Mr Justice Gresson remanded Taylor for sentence.
