Christchurch. 9406 CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch Drainage Board proposes at its meeting to be held at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, Latimer square on Tuesday, August 24, 1965, at 8 p.m. to consider a motion to apply to the Local Authorities Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £1,750,000 for the purpose of continuing sewerage reticulation. The security for the loan shall be a special rate of £.0005476 in the pound (£) on the rateable capital value of an area described tn Schedule C and in Schedule B tas altered from time to time In terms of Section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922 and section 60 (6) of the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1951, to a Resolution of the Board dated the Seventeenth day of April, 1923, and published tn the New Zealand Gazette No 37 of the Twenty-sixth day of April, 1923. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Christchurch Drainage Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting. Secretary. 9364 TARIFF AND DEVELOPMENT BOARD NOTICE NO. 36—PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO THE QUESTION OF PROVIDING AN OVERLEAF PERIOD- OF THREE MONTHS IN THE IMPORT LICENSING YEAR 1. The Tariff and Development Board has been requested by the Minister of Industries and Commerce to inquire into and report on the question of the desirability of introducing an overlap period of three months in the import licensing year and the various implications of any such action.

2. For the purpose of taking evidence on this subject, the Board will hold a public inquiry commencing on Tuesday. September 28. 1965, at 10 a.m., in the Board Room, First Floor, Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor street, Wellington. 3. Any person or organisation interested and intending to tender evidence may obtain a copy of the full terms of ref erence from the undernamed. 4. Witnesses should prepare their evidence in the form of a typewritten statement, sup ported by appropriate data, of which 12 copies should be lodged with the undernamed not later than Tuesday, Sep tember 14, 1965. 5. Each statement will need to be presented under oath at the public inquiry by the per son tendering it. A witness may be questioned on his evidence by the Board or, with the permission of the Board, by or on behalf of any other witness. 6. It would be of assistance to the Board if persons or organ isatlons intending to tender evidence would advise the undernamed to that effect as early as possible, and, if prac ticable, by August 23, 1965.
