Ltd., maker of surgical dressings and pharmaceutical products, lifted net profit by £49,516, or 8 per cent, to £667,351 for the year ended December 31 last. Dividends paid during the vear totalled £416.927 (previous year £401,122), Since the close of the year a dividend of £269,360 has been declared, the annual return shows. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson Inc., of the United States. Earning Rate Profit is equivalent to an earning rate of 46.1 per cent on steady paid capital of £1,446,177, and 12.5 per cent on year-end shareholders’ funds of £5,322,105. Latest result is after tax of £502,037 (up £84.037) and depreciation £215,852 (up £19,601). Directors state that during the year the company extended its production facilities at Botany by erecting a new building to house equipment for the manufacture of cotton wool and associated products.
