THE ENEMY WITHIN.—A paratrooper, on patrol with the reconnaissance company of the 173rd Airborne Brigade in jungle near Tram Bong, 40 miles north-east of Saigon, orders an old woman, found cutting bamboo shoots, to go away. When she had gone, the paratroopers could hear her shouting warning signals to the Viet Cong for 30 minutes. They could not find the Viet Cong or the woman again.
