Not Nassella
Farmers with land on the Cashmere hills or along the flat land below them are sensitive to the risk of nassella tussock infestation. Mr F. E. Hoskin, noxious weeds supervisor, told the Halswell County Council yesterday that a Lansdowne Valley fanner had been “greatly relieved” to discover that the “strange itussock” on the land was needle grass, and not nassella.
