Better And Worse
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. July 21. A crowd of 21,390 paid a record £7089 to see the Springboks play at Invercargill. This gate was £26 more than the £7063 taken when the British Lions played there in 1959. The crowd was 2000 short of the record 23,000 which saw France play Southland in 1962. It was also smaller than when the South Africans last played there in 1956, when 22.000 attended.
