TWO BIG COOKS

WELLINGTON, July 15. The two biggest chefs in the Shaw Savill and Albion Company met for the first time in Wellington today. They are Mr M. J. Walker, 19 stone, 6ft lin, of the Carnatic, and Mr B. Groom, 22 stone, 6ft 3in, of the Southern Cross. Mr Walker, single.
aged 30, is a former Coldstream guardsman, and Army cook and has been at sea only six months. Mr Groom, married, aged 38, has been at sea 18 years, 12 of them with the Shaw Savill line. They agreed their biggest culinary problem was knowing how much to cook.
