Obesity Among U.S. Women
(N.Z. P.A. -Reuter) CHICAGO. Obesity among American women appeared to be greater among those of Italian descent than among women whose ancestors were British, a team of doctors reported in the “American Medical Association Journal.” The doctors also reported that women with a low economic status had a greater tendency to grow fat than those better off financially.
Proceeds From Bastille Day.—The Alliance Francaise raised £2O for the Save the Children Fund at its Bastille Day celebration on Wednesday evening. A cheque will be given tp the Canterbury branch of the fund soon.
