Pilgrimage By Woman (N X.P.A -Reuter —Copyrights LE HAVRE, July 15. A French mother of i five children is plodd- | ing along the first I stretch of a 2500-mile | trek to Jerusalem with her luggage piled on a donkey. With Bijou, her donkey, she is on a walking pilgrimage, aiming to reach Jerusalem by Christmas. She will follow the overland route the Crusaders used—through Germany, Austria, Jugoslavia, Bulgaria. Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Israel. Mrs Genevieve Dubosq Troszezynski, the 32-year-old wife of a sailor of Polish origin, set off from the village of Maneglise near Le Havre. She began planning her pilgrimage two years ago, when her youngest son, Noel, recovered from a serious illness. Now all the couple’s children, aged from five to 12, are staying at a Dieppe religious institution until she returns. Mrs Troszezynski and her donkey are equipped with all necessary visas and vaccination certificates, and she has carefully marked out the route details on a series of maps. The way home will be easier. A shipping company has offered to bring her back aboard th'- Israeli liner Shalom early next year.
