War Pensioners
There are 1800 British war pensioners living in New Zealand. This figure is revealed in a Government report on war pensions. About 460,500 service disablement pensions —307,500 for service in or since the 1939-45 war, 153,000 for the 1914-18 war—were being paid by the British Government at the end of 1964. London, July 15,
