Renewal Of Talks On Free Trade

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 15. The Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) will leave for Canberra on August 2 to continue negotiations with the Australian Minister of Trade (Mr McEwen) for a limited free trade arrangement between Australia and New Zealand.

An advertisement in yesterday's issue of “The Times” says the appointee will be expected to have administrative ability and a broad interest in and knowledge of the arts. He will be responsible for the organisation and direction of the work of the council and will be subject to the control of the council. He will be required to live in Wellington and must be prepared to travel extensively within New Zealand. An emolument of up to £NZ3OOO a year ij offered according to qualifications and experience.
