Large Sales In Sydney (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, July 14. “Kiwi fruit” is becoming just as big a hit on the Australian market as it has reportedly become in America The sales chief of a large Sydney store which has been selling the fruit better known in New Zealand as Chinese gooseberries—said today that sales, which had been almost negligible a few months ago, were steadily increasing to the stage where some customers had started to order their requirements in case the supply available was too quickly used up.
