Drama Auditions
Auditions for actors and actresses who wish to be considered for professional engagements will be held in Christchurch on Sunday by the drama committee of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council. The committee is making a national survey to determine the amount and quality of talent available, with a view to the eventual establishment of professional theatre on a regional basis. A member of the committee, Mr John Kim. said yesterday a high audition standard was expected. Those applying would be asked to prepare two pieces, modern and classical, and to bring with them reviews, recommendations and photographs.
