Blast’s Origin Not Known
(N.Z Prets Attn. —Copyright) VANCOUVER, July 13. An explosion of unknown origin caused a plane crash last Thursday that claimed 52 lives, the Canadian Department of Transport said on Monday. The cause of the blast, which occurred in the rear section of the Canadian Pacific Airlines plane, was still under investigation. The crash occurred near 100 Mile House, some 170 miles north-east of Vancouver.
