N. Vietnam Defence (N.Z P A.-Reuter—Copyright) HONG KONG, July 13. The Soviet Union has signed an agreement to strengthen North Vietnam’s defence potential, the North Vietnamese News Agency reported yesterday. The agreement was reached in talks in Moscow between Soviet and North Vietnamese delegations, the agency said.
The Soviet Union agreed to strengthen North Vietnam’s defences "on the basis of the requirements of the Vietnamese people's struggle against the U.S. imperialist aggressors,” the agency said. The agreement also covered Soviet economic assistance to Vietnam, it said.
