Action Against Saigon Press
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SAIGON, July 4. One of South Vietnam’s two English-language daily newspapers, the “Saigon Post,” was banned last Friday for five days. A senior executive said a letter was received from the Government ordering the closure yesterday morning. The move came one day after the banning of all Vietnamese language newspapers for on.e month took effect on July 1. The executive would not give reasons for the closure and the Government spokesman was not available for immediate comment.
