WILLIAMS, Registrar. 3336 THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA MASTER OF CURRIE HALL APPLICATIONS are invited for appointment to the position of Master of Currie Hall at a salary of £A4300 p.a. plus superannuation similar to F.S.S.U. The appointee will be expected to take up duty as soon as possible. Currie Hall was first established in 1946 as a student hostel under the control of the Guild of Undergraduates. In 1960 it was converted to a hall of residence under the control of the Senate. The Master will be responsible to the Senate for the good government, administration and control of the Hall. The appointment of a Council, including students, to assist and advise the Master in the running of the Hall, is intended but the Master will be given the opportunity to comment on and submit proposals regarding the form of government of the Hall. The existing Hall has accommodation for 150 male students. However, an extensive rebuilding programme is about to commence. The first stage, to accommodate 160 males, will be readv 1 for occupation from the beginning of the 1967 acedemic year.
