Expert To Lecture On Diabetes
Professor W. J. H. Butterfield, a leading English specialist in diabetes, is to lecture at a diabetes course organised by the Christchurch Hospitals Post-graduate Society, to be held at the Christchurch Hospital Medical Centre from July 8 to July 10. He will also take part in panel discussions. A world authority on the nature and epidemiology of diabetes meilltus, Professor Butterfield has been professor of medicine at the Guy'a Hospital Medical School since October, 1963. He was a member of the scientific staff of the Medical Research Council from 1946 to 1958. In 1952 he was seconded to the Ministry of Supply, and in 1956 to the Atomic Energy Authority.
