COMPANIES’ REPORTS
Award To Magnus Motors The annual award of the Incorporated Institute of Accountants of New Zealand, awarded each year for the report of a public company, has this year been gained byMagnus Motors, Ltd., the institute has announced. The award is made to a nubile company, having its head office or registered office in New Zealand and shares listed by the New Zealand Stock Exchange, on the form and contents of its report and accounts issued to its shareholders. Entries this year, 83, exceeded previous years, and the advanced quality made selecting a winner difficult, ‘he judges said. Appearance and set-up were taken into account, but the award was chiefly made on the manner of presentation of the report and accounts and the extent to which the data were informative and elearly explicable to- shareholders. Some excellent entries failed in this respect, and others displayed some carelessness in complying with the requirements of the Companies Act, the judges said.
The winners will receive a silver salver. The report of K.D.V. Industries. Ltd., was highly commended. The panel of judges was Mr N. H. Chapman (chairman). and Messrs D. A. Dale, A. W. Macfarthur, H. Taylor, and Dr. G. A. Lau. , .
