GUIDES’ AWARDS
Presentation Today Queen’s Guide awards and silver and bronze Duke of Edinburgh awards will be presented to members of the Girl Guides’ Association at its headquarters by the Mayor (Mr Manning) today. Those to receive Queen’s Guide awards are Victoria Louisson, of the fourth senior company, and Brenda Cromie, of the Hornby company. Two silver awards in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme will be presented, to Lesley Killengray and to a member of the Girls’ Life Brigade, Shirley Wright. Pamela Winchester, Christine Stock, Heather Allen, Anne Hancock, and Sylvia Evans will receive bronze awards. The presentations will be made during a one-day conference of guide commissioners and trainers from the North Canterbury area.
