Ho’s View

President Ho Chi Minh of North Vietnam, has said that his country’s posiiton on ending the Vietnam war meets the interests of the American people and the United States’ honour, the Soviet news agency, Tass, said yesterday. Tass published in English this morning details of an interview by a “Pravda” correspondent with the North Vietnamese leaders at a date not specified. Ho said that “ever broader sections of the American people” were showing support and solidarity for North Vietnam.”
North Vietnam's declared conditions for negotiations to end the Vietnam conflict include the withdrawal of American troops from South Vietnam and recognition that the National Liberation Front, political arm of the Viet Cong guerrillas, represent the South Vietnamese people.
