SIR MARTIN IMPROVING
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY.
The New Zealand gelding. Sir Martin, is not expected to be at a good price when he runs in the Narwee Handicap at Warwick Farm on Saturday. Sir Martin was a 66-to-l chance when he finished second to Grecian Vale at Randwick on June 14. It was an impressive run as he was badly placed to the home turn and was beaten by only a length. It was Sir Martin’s second race since coming from New Zealand and he should be all the better for it. The gelding has won over six furlongs and a mile in New Zealand.
