TREES ARE MONEY FINANCE Loans for planting woodlots In continuation of Its policy of encouraging farm forestry, Government offers loans for planting trees next year, 1966. Applications are invited from private land owners for loans for tree planting (including preparatory and protective works in connection therewith), and subsequent tending. Forms may be obtained from any Forest Service Office. Closing date for applications 31st August, 1965. MINIMUM area: 5 acres. MAXIMUM area: 100 acres In any 5 year period, but when it can be justified. Ministerial authority may be obtained to plant larger areas. MAXIMUM leans: £25 per acre for planting, £l5 per acre later for pruning and thinning, for a term of 40 years or to year of final realisation, whichever is the sooner. INTEREST: 3% charged on only half the loan provided conditions of Agreement are carried out. Interest may be paid annually or compounded.
