’Quake Off Oregon

A moderately strong earthquake off the Oregon coast was reported yesterday by the University of California seismological centre.
A spokesman said preliminary readings placed the earthquake 200 miles off Oregon and showed it had a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale.
