Dyson First To Reach Century Of Points
(~)NE of Canterbury’s most aggressive players, C. P. Dyson (Burnham), has taken over the individual points scoring lead in the A grade men’s basketball competition. In nine games he has scored a total of 125 points
—the only player to pass his century—and his lowest total in any one game has been 10 points. Burnham's fourth placing in the competition at present is due in no small measure to his efforts, W. E. Smith (University B), the first player to reach 50 points, has dropped to fifth position, equal with his namesake, the American, ,1. Smith (Y.M.C.A.). Both have scored 85 points. Leading scorers after 10 rounds are: Dyson 125, R. Zachariassen (University B) 94, G. Orchard (H. 5.0.8 ) 91, R Spark (Rangiora) 86, J. Smith 85. W. E. Smith 85, R. Entwistle (Y.M.C.A.) 83, C. Harley (Y-Boys) 76, A. Hounsell (H. 5.0.8. 75. C. Hit (Orients) 74. P. LundJackson (Rex) 70.
