Neglected Flanker

p. W. LEE, the former University A loose forward who played four games for Canterbury B last season, has found it difficult to make any impression in club Rugby in Wellington this year.

He has joined the very strong Victoria - University

Club and has played all his matches in the second division side. With four players with first class experience as loose forwards available, G. Le R. Hermansson, W. R. Strang, J. M. Pickering and C. D. Mantel!, his chances of promotion to the senior side look extremely slim.

However, Lee has a companion in misery. H. D. H. Barton, who represented New Zealand Universities in all three tests against the touring Australian Universities team last season, is also in the second division team as a flanker. Lee has not even been selected for the trial game to select a Wellington second division representative team.
