DESECRATED COFFINS
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 4. Coffins in a vault beneath St John's Church, East Tamaki road, were desecrated by intruders who burnt down the church early today. Mr A. N. Smales said tonight the coffins had “been tampered with.”
The Smales family vault which was exposed by the fire, was filled with scoria today to prevent further intrusions.
