Griffith’s Action To Be Studied
~V Z.P..4 Renier— Copyright)KINGSTON. June 3. Filins showing the action of the West Indies fast bowler, C. Griffith, are to be exaihined again by the West Indies Cricket Board.
This was stated yesterday, by a member of the board, j Mr Cecil Marley, who was commenting on charges made by the Australian cricketers I that Griffith was a thrower. Mr Marley, who is president of the Jamaican Cricket Board, said the West Indies board was satisfied with Griffith’s action. “What has been said about Griffith will not affect the)
West Indies in the slightest and no-one can doubt the integrity of the West Indies officials. “We took films of Griffith’s bowling action before he went to England in 1963 and again before the recent series: against Australia. “When the films are examined again it will be time enough to pass judgment.” he said.
