Enterprise Unrewarded
Enterprise is not always rewarded as three enthusiastic squash rackets players found when they hired an aero club plane and flew to Nelson last Friday to compete in a tournament there. One of the three, N. A. Justice, piloted the plane and it appeared to be a quick and economical way of travelling. However, because of the weather conditions. they were unable to return on the Sunday afternoon as planned. The first to arrive back was R. M. Garrett, who chose to hitch-hike that day. On
Wednesday D. V. Hearn arrived home—by a regular airline flight—and finally, the pilot and plane made their appearance on Thursday morning. Another private plane travelled from Palmerston North with competitors on board: it did not arrive home until Tuesday.
