Early Govt. Decision The Minister of Agriculture (Mr Taiboys) yesterday indicated to representatives of the recently-formed South Island Fertiliser Company that the Government would make an early decision on a Meat Board recommendation that funds from the meat industry reserve account should be used to help build a new farmers’ cooperative fertiliser works in South Canterbury. Government approval is required for use of the reserve funds for this purpose. The company representatives who met the Minister in Wellington included Mr R. H. Kerr, of Salisbury, Timaru. and they were accompanied by Mr A. D. Dick, member of Parliament for Waitaki.
