Boy Killed By Tree Stump
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 4. A boy was killed when he was crushed by a two-ton tree stump in Woodside avenue, Northeote, this afternoon. He was Rory Mark Hilliard, aged seven, the son of Mr and Mrs R. E. Hilliard, 18 Woodside avenue, Northcote. Police said the boy and two friends were playing on the stump which was lying on the side of an incline. The stump rolled down the slope, crush; ing the child.
