Mother Of Three Wins Golden Kiwi

ROTORUA June 3. A Rotorua mother of three. Mrs V. Garland, learned today that she won the £12,000 first prize in,Golden Kiwi lotl tery No. 207 with a ticket she bought in Greymouth three i weeks ago. Mr Garland, a filleter at the Waipa Mill, rushed home to ’ find his wife trying to decide ! whether to laugh or cry. The win was the culmina- ! tion of a lucky run for Mrs [ Garland, who was able to take j a Grey mouth holiday with : £3OO she had won on a race double in Rotorua. The first thing Mi’s Garland . intends to do now is to buy i her husband a car. ■ Then she will buy a tele- | vision set for a neighbour. , Mrs G.
