CLASSROOMS FOR ARANUI
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, June 2. Approval has been given by the Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella) for a grant to enable the acceptance of a tender for the extension of an existing classroom block to provide six new classrooms, an art and craft room and ancillary accommodation at Aranui High School. Advice of this was received tonight by Mr J. Mathison (Opp., Avon).
Cyclist Injured.— A cyclist suffered arm injuries when he was involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of Barbadoes and Guthrey street at 8 p.m. yesterday. He is Mr Alan Hirst, of 335 River road. Mr Hirst was taken to Christchurch Hospital where he was treated and discharged.
